According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, 49ers wide receiver Mario Manningham could start practicing next week.
Mario Manningham, who is returning from a torn ACL he sustained late last season, could begin practicing next week after spending the required first six weeks of the regular season on the reserve/physically-unable-to-perform list. Despite appearing in just 12 games last season, Manningham was the 49ers’ second-leading wide receiver with 42 receptions for 449 yards.
I’m sure the 49ers are holding out hope that Manningham will be ready to play by week 7. They need another receiving threat more than anything right now.
