Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com says the running back Marcus Lattimore made a lot of progress this spring even though he still has plenty of work to do.
Lattimore still appears to have a ways to go to get back to his pre-injury form, but he made significant progress during the nine weeks of workouts. He stated last week toUSA Today: “I’m trying to take [Gore’s] job, but I know that’s going to be the hardest thing in the world.”
I think Lattimore is still a year away from significant playing time. He’ll be active this season, but I don’t see him getting carries ahead of both Kendall Hunter and Carlos Hyde.
