Just last month Indianapolis Colts vice chairman Bill Polian indicated on his radio show that he had a discussion with quarterback Peyton Manning about the Colts potentially drafting a quarterback. He indicated that Manning would be OK with the Colts drafting his successor.
During Sunday’s CBS pregame show, James Brown conducted an interview with Manning and asked him about his discussion with Polian regarding him being OK with the team drafting a quarterback in the first round.
Manning explained that Polian’s comments were taken out of context and that they had a discussion about drafting a predecessor about two years ago. He also indicated that he hasn’t even thought about the Colts drafting a quarterback in April since he’s had so much to deal with, regarding his rehab.
