Quarterback Peyton Manning has been cleared to view Colts games from the sideline now, instead being confined to a luxury box.
“I’ve got breaking news: I’m coming down to the sideline,” Manning said while going to his locker today. “I’ve been cleared to come down there.”
I still believe it would make the most sense for Manning to be put on injured reserve so he can get better for next season. Let’s be honest the Colts aren’t making the playoffs this season, just let him rest and take his time getting healthy.
But it seems that Manning is still trying to play this season. He told reporters that he’s progressing well with his recovery from his latest neck procedure. His rehab sessions are getting more intense which is a sign that he is in deed doing well. He still hopes to hit the practice field later this season.

“I think you have to have hope until the doctors rule you out,” said Manning. “We’re having a lot of injuries, so if they (the Colts) come to me and say they have to make a move, I won’t fight them on that.
“The good Lord is calling my plays, and I’m not allowed to audible at this point, so I have to listen to the doctors.”
