The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Kansas City Chiefs tight end Leonard Pope to a one-year deal.
Pope was a solid role player in his three-year stint with the Chiefs, posting 497 yards and 4 touchdowns there. Prior to playing for the Chiefs, Pope was with the Arizona Cardinals for three seasons. He has worked under former Cardinals offensive coordinator and former Chiefs head coach Todd Haley for nearly his entire career. Now that Haley will be directing the Steelers’ offense, Pope’s move to Steel City makes perfect sense.
