Larry Foote’s release does’t mean Sean Spence’s knee is healthy

Even though the Steelers decided to to move on from veteran linebacker Larry Foote,  it doesn’t mean Sean Spence’s knee is ready for action, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The decision to release veteran Larry Foote does not mean the Steelers think Sean Spence has recovered from his devastating knee injury and is ready to return to full-time action.

I’m not trying to knock Spence, but you are talking about a undersized, seriously injured, player who has never taken 1 NFL regular season snap. Right now i would think Vince Williams would be a better option. I know everyone is rooting for Spence, but i would hardly classify him as a plug and play option.
