Kembrell Thompkins busts out for the Patriots

Rookie wide receiver Kembrell Thompkins had a huge game for the Patriots against the Lions on Thursday night.

Thompkins racked up 8 receptions for 116 yards.

Thompkins had (roughly) a drop and a half, and failed to stay in bounds while securing the last of his 11 targets, but ultimately it was another highly impressive performance. He started it by whipping rookie CB Darius Slay downfield for a 37-yard connection, and continued to display outstanding strength at the catch point.

It looks like the Patriots will have a nice one-two punch with Thompkins and Danny Amendola.

Rookie Aaron Dobson will be a nice third receiver for the Pats.  He had four catches for 50 yards against Detroit.
