Jets tight end Kellen Winslow is motivated to haul in 100 receptions during the upcoming season.
“My goal is to have 100 catches,” Winslow said, per ESPNNewYork.com. “Will I catch 100? I don’t know. It might be 20, but that’s the goal.”
Winslow made it known today that he feels like the Seahawks did him wrong last year by cutting him prior to the start of the season because he wouldn’t take a pay cut.
“They cut me over money. They put me in a bad situation,” he said. “I can’t even speak on it. It’s just frustrating what happened. You just don’t do a vet like that.”
I’m not sure if Winslow lives in a hole, but veteran get cut all the time in the NFL for financial reasons. Especially ones with chronic knee problems.
