Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com doesn’t believe that wide receiver Julian Edelman is a lock to make the Patriots’ final 53-man roster this season.
I have to agree with Reiss. It seems like Edelman has what it takes to be a difference maker, but he’s either been overshadowed by other receivers or gets injured at the worst possible time. He was having a strong season in 2012 before going down with a foot injury.
At the end of the day, Edelman is going to have to stand out above the rookie wide receivers the Patriots just brought in this offseason if he wants to keep his job.
