Scott Bair of CSNBayArea.com believes Josh McCown could be a good fit for the Raiders as they look for a viable quarterback to hold things down until they can find a franchise quarterback.
Given that the Raiders are looking for a shorter-term solution from a vet quarterback, McCown may be the perfect fit. Or, if he can’t recapture magic from five solid starts, the Raiders could be stuck with an inexperienced quarterback during a season where progress is vital.
I would lean towards the latter.
While McCown had a good season last year for the Bears, he’ll be in an entirely different offense with receivers that could only imagine to be on the same level as Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey if he signs with Oakland.
