Now that veteran defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has landed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after being cut by the Patriots, quarterback Josh Freeman has really hit it off with him and considers hHaynesworth a “mentor” after bonding with him after this past Sunday’s game against the Texans.
Haynesworth has clearly made a good first impression with Freeman and likely some of his other young teammates. The question is, when will Haynesworth melt down and revert to the locker room cancer that he’s been in the past?
As the Bucs continue to struggle this season to remain in the NFC South divisional race, maybe Haynesworth can use some of his veteran leadership and propel them to the playoffs.
On second thought, I doubt it.
