According to the U-T San Diego columnist Kevin Acee, former Saints defensive back Johnny Patrick has done enough so far at the San Diego Chargers’ training camp to make the team come the end of August.
Former Saint Johnny Patrick had pretty much made this team as nickel and depth at cornerback. Today, he is making sure.

Let me clarify the title a bit. When I say Patrick is impressing, that is of course taking expectations into account. Patrick, who wasn’t brought in to compete for a starting job, just made sure his spot on the active roster is safe.
The Chargers will need that depth. They will be starting two new corners and early reports at camp indicate that it’s not looking good for the team at the secondary positions, specifially the cornerback spots.
