John Fox says he won’t rest Peyton Manning prior to the playoffs

The Denver Broncos are arguably the hottest team in the NFL right now and head coach John Fox has made it clear that he doesn’t plan on resting any of his starters as we approach the playoffs and that includes quarterback Peyton Manning.

“That has not been an option, and not something that we’ll talk about,” Fox said, per USA Today Sports. “Right now, our main agenda is to get better and improve so we can be playing our best football in January.”

I’m not a fan of resting players before the playoffs.  I really think it does more harm than good.  I believe more times than not, teams that struggle to get in, end up making a run to the Super Bowl because they know they can’t rest their guys and they hold on to the rhythm they’ve established.
