The Washington Redskins did a great job of accumulating picks during this years NFL draft. The only thing that has some fans surprised is that they didn’t use any of those picks on a quarterback.
It’s looking more and more like the Redskins are prepared to go into the 2011 season with former second round pick John Beck as their starter. Beck was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2007 NFL draft and has jumped around from team to team since.
Last season Beck was traded to the Redskins by the Baltimore Ravens to give them some added depth at quarterback.. Also head coach Mike Shanahan loved Beck so much that back in 2007 when he was coming out of BYU, Shanahan had him ranked as the top quarterback in the draft.
The Redskins signed Beck to a contract extension back in September that will keep him with the team for the next two seasons.
