Former New York jets quarterback Joe Namath has gone to an all-time low when it comes to criticizing his former team.
Namath had noticed that Jets head coach Rex Ryan was wearing his jersey. During a radio interview he mentioned that he was wondering how Ryan could get the jersey over his gut.
“I’m just stunned that the jersey with No. 12 comes in that size,” said Namath.
Namath has been critical of Ryan and the Jets for the majority of this season and what’s really amazing is that Ryan hasn’t retaliated.
“Shoot, hey it doesn’t matter,” Ryan said. “I’m still a huge Joe Namath fan.”

Do you mean to tell me that Ryan is not fat? For that matter so is his brother, and they both have the same big mouths. It seems to me that Broadway Joe won the Super Bowl he bragged about. Rex hasn’t gotten into one with the Jets yet? Hummmm, Good time for you to start talkin’ about San Diego again Rex.
The Ryan brothers aren’t getting paid to be athletic – they’re using their BRAINS. Something that Namath might want to consider doing….In their youth, they’d be beating down on Namath and his pantyhose on a daily basis.
