Joe Flacco’s contract will pay him $120 million over six years

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, quarterback Joe Flacco will earn $120 million over six years, which means he’ll attain $20 million per year.

Many fans might feel that this sum is too much but Flacco’s spotless résumé speaks for itself.

Since being drafted by the Ravens, Flacco has led Baltimore to the playoffs in five consecutive seasons and snatched his first Super Bowl ring after upending two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks–Peyton Manning and Tom Brady–en route.

We don’t know how much of Flacco’s  contract is guaranteed.  As soon as we have those numbers, we’ll post them.
