Jim Kelly’s cancer surgery is deemed a success

Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly underwent surgery on the cancer in his upper-jaw bone on Friday. Everything went smoothly and it was an overall success.

During the operation, doctors removed part of Kelly’s jawbone where the squamous cell carcinoma was found. The doctors then went on to reconstruct the area.

Kelly announced on Monday that he had learned he was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago. He was very optimistic, and even said “I know I’ll beat it.”

Kelly is very confident that he can once again triumph one of life’s great tasks. I hope everything continues to run smoothly for Kelly, because cancer is no joke.
