49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh wouldn’t say whether or not second-year wide receiver A.J. Jenkins is in jeopardy of not making their final roster, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Asked if Jenkins’ draft status or the salary-cap ramifications of cutting him factor in as far as whether he makes the team, Harbaugh said, “Things factor in, but – longstanding — football hasn’t changed since the inception. The best players make the team.”
As bad as Jenkins has looked, it is too early to know if Jenkins will make he Niners final roster. He still has two more games to prove himself.
