According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, the New York Jets are not going to fight hard to re-sign wide receiver Braylon Edwards.
Edwards is going to be looking for big money as a number one receiver and the Jets won’t be willing to hand over a big contract to him. Theyve made it clear that they would much rather re-sign the younger core players on their roster.
He’s also shown the inability to stay out of trouble off the field. This past season was a great example of his iresponsiblity after getting pulled over and arrested for DUI back in September.
And let’s face it, Edwards has made some great plays in his career, but he’s way to inconsistent to get a big money deal.
