The New York Jets arranged for a good portion of their players to attend leadership training on Wednesday, because let’s face it, they need it
“The Jets arranged for nineteen of their veteran players to attend leadership training off-site in Bedminster,” Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger reported.
“We just had such a great experience as a coaching staff, and I’m hoping the players have the same kind of experience we had,” coach Rex Ryan said. “It was something I thought all of us gained some things out of, and you saw a lot about each other, and I thought that was good.”
I give the Jets a lot of credit for attempting to deal with a major issue within their team. One of the biggest reasons they continue to fall short of their goal of being a championship team is because they lack leadership.
