New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes has done anything but lived up to the five-year $45 million contract that he signed before last season.
Holmes has been nothing but a headache off the field while under achieving on it.
Now it looks like Holmes will miss the remainder of the season with a lisfranc injury.
We don’t know if the Jets are interested in moving on from Holmes, but even if they wanted to, they can’t afford it.
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Jets owe Holmes $7.5 million in guaranteed money next season.
In the end, the Jets are stuck with Holmes for the near future.
