According to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, Giants general manager Jerry Reese still expects defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul to be ready for their season opener after undergoing back surgery in the offseason.
Reese also said the Giants expect Jason Pierre-Paul back for the opener … Giants have always been optimistic about that. #NYG

Even if Pierre-Paul is ready for week one, I don’t expect him to be himself. It’s going to take him some time to get back into football shape. The good news is that the Giants are still loaded at defensive end with rookie Damontre Moore, Mathias Kiwanuka and Justin Tuck.
