Jerry Jones would love to talk about acquiring Adrian Peterson, but he can’t

As much as Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would love to talk about possibly acquiring Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, he knows he can’t since it would be tampering.

“We don’t want to get into hypotheticals in any way,” Jones said on his Friday appearance with 105.3 The Fan Dallas/Fort Worth, via PFT. “As a matter of fact that’s called ‘get busted’ in the NFL to be talking about somebody’s else player.”

Jones can dream all he wants, but there’s no way he can land Peterson with his team projected to be $31 million over the cap in 2014.
