Jerry Jones says Dez Bryant needs to step up or he'll be gone
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show with Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com and talked about wide receiver Dez Bryant and the actions he’s taken since being arrested for family assault.
“Jones said that Bryant was contrite and sincere when they spoke and praised the wide receiver for the growth that he’s made since coming to the Cowboys. He also said that he was taking the incident seriously and that Bryant needs to ‘grow up,’” wrote Josh Alper of PFT.
“He’s got to come on, step up and accept responsibility,” Jones said. “I’m demanding that he work through it. He must do it or we can’t count on him.”
Alper also wrote that Florio asked Jones if Bryant will be cut if he doesn’t change.
“Florio followed up by asking if that meant the Cowboys would move on from Bryant and Jones said that it did,” wrote Alper.
Would be interesting to see if Jones really meant what he said.
