With Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins working his way back into football shape after missing the entire offseason and preseason due to a shoulder injury, owner Jerry Jones has been impressed with what he’s seen so far.
“I’d obviously like to see him out there on all of our money packages, nickel, dime, all of that,” Jones said on 105.3 [KRLD-FM] The Fan’s New School show, per the Dallas Morning News. “I sure hope that we can be as innovative as Rob [Ryan] has indicated to me he wanted to be, and Jerome Henderson, our secondary coach. So, hopefully we’ll get to see a lot of Jenkins.
“He’s impressive. He’s looked really good at the practices he’s been out there. Yesterday, he moved around good. Boy, you just don’t lose it, you can see it when one of those top ones get out there.”
Jenkins will be a nice addition to a much improved Cowboys secondary once he gets back on the field.
