Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told ESPN’s Outside the Lines that he doesn’t plan on putting former Super Bowl winning head coach Jimmy Johnson in the ring of honor.
“I don’t have plans for Jimmy to be in the Ring of Honor. The criteria that I’m interested in have more to the guys that were on the field making the plays,” Jones said.
It sounds like Jones knows he should add Johnson to the Ring of Honor, but doesn’t want to.
“To have that kind of recognition for a coach, I know that’s there, on the other hand, I get to make that decision,” Jones said.
You could argue that without Johnson, the Cowboys wouldn’t have been the NFL’s team of the 90’s.
