Jerry Jones disappointed with his high draft picks

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the Dallas Morning News that he’s disappointed to see some of his higher draft picks like Morris Claiborne and Bruce Carter play so poorly that they had to be benched.

“I am disappointed they aren’t playing better,” said Jones. “I don’t think I am as disappointed as they are. We think they would play at a higher level…I expect them to — and I think they will – step up their game.”

The Cowboys front office is on board with both players being benched.

“I respect what the coaches feel like they need to do to get the most out of our players,” executive vice president Stephen Jones said. “We certainly respect the decision they’ve made in terms of who is going to start and who is going to play at what. Obviously, we do need accountability. Any time you bench a player who has played well for you, and both of them have, that’s disappointing. But I have every confidence in the world both those gentlemen will respond and respond well.”

If only the light would turn on for Jerry that would tell him its time to hire an actual general manager to take care of personnel.

Dallas will never get anywhere with Romo at QB and J. Jones sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. Romo is like Danny White, playoffs but no Super Bowl.
