Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones claims that Jason Hatcher never called out Tony Romo during a team meeting, despite a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network that says otherwise.
“There was absolutely – and I emphasize absolutely – no reference in any way to another player,” Jones said on KRLD-FM, via the Dallas Morning News. “It’s absurd to think that a defensive player would be critical of anybody specifically on offense, or an offensive player be critical of anybody on defense. That just doesn’t happen, wouldn’t happen and didn’t happen.”
“Any sort of idea that he was calling someone out is completely inaccurate,” said head coach Jason Garrett on Monday.
Hatcher praised Romo.
“He’s the best quarterback in the league,” Hatcher said. “So I love Romo to death. That’s my brother.”
Seems like a cover up to me.
