Jerod Mayo says the Patriots are going to have ignore the “noise”

Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo was asked by ESPNBoston.com how they’re going to deal with all of the distractions that have been following them around this offseason.

“We always talk about ignoring the noise, and we’re doing the same now,” linebacker Jerod Mayo told ESPNBoston.com on Sunday. “Whether it’s good or bad, we always talk about ignoring the noise.”

Mayo was asked how his teammates will deal with Hernandez’s situation.

“I’m going to leave that one alone until everything’s done or whatever,” he said.

There’s no doubt that the Patriots coaching staff and leadership on their roster will be tested this coming season.
