According to Zach Berman of Philly.com, Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin doesn’t seem inclined to signing a contract extension right now as he enters the final year of his contract.
I’ve spoken to Maclin about his contract on a number of occasions, and he does not seem inclined to sign an extension at this point. Maclin believes his value will ascend this season. He’s confident and thinks his best football remains ahead of him, and thus his value will improve with a strong year.
If Maclin really wants to cash in after this season, he’s going to need to get his first 1,000 yard season of his NFL career.
