As we patiently wait for Jeff Fisher to make a final decision on which team he’ll coach in 2012, it seems like he’s getting close to becoming the St. Louis Rams next head coach.
Fisher spent about four hours at the Rams facility on Sunday and then drove off with Rams executive vice president of football operations Kevin Demoff.
Fisher took a tour of the Rams facilities and met with quarterback Sam Bradford. Per the St. Post Dispatch, sources have indicated that he likes most of what he has seen with the Rams.
The two hang ups at this point were that Fisher is worried about the Rams moving to Los Angeles and getting the financial support to hire a good staff. He’s already been assured the Rams aren’t moving and that he’ll have the funds to put a good staff together.
There have been indications that he’s planning on bringing in Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and Tennessee Titans senior assistant Dave McGinniss to beef up his staff.
Fisher is expected to make his decision by Tuesday or Wednesday.
