Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler told The Jay Cutler Show” on ESPN 1000 that he wants to wait until the offseason to start talking about a new contract.
“I don’t want to do (an extension) during the year,” Cutler said. “I did it during the year when I first got here, and it didn’t work out that well, and I said I’d never do it again. After the year if they want to talk we can talk. If not, we’ll play out the next year and see how it goes.”
In his next contract, Cutler needs to have the Bears promise that they’ll improve the offense line so he doesn’t have to take so many hits.
