Rob Reischel of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel believes running back James Starks will end up getting released when the Packers cut their roster down to the final-53.
“The surprise here would be the Packers giving up on Starks, their No. 1 back early in camp. But injuries have limited Starks to just 16 games his first two years, and he’s out again with a turf toe. Dating back to his days at Buffalo, Starks has missed time five straight years. At some point, his inability to stay on the field will cost him,” wrote Reischel.
I believe Starks hasn’t progressed the way the Packers would’ve liked him to by now, especially in pass protection. This makes him very expendable.
