Here we go again.
A promising prospect at guard for the Seattle Seahawks, James Carpenter has not yet been able to live up to his potential as he has finished each of his two NFL seasons on injured reserve.
There are high hopes for him as a road-grating left guard this year, but an apparent knee injury in practice today could potentially derail a healthy start to the season.
Danny O’Neil reports that Carpenter limped off the field during today’s practice, and that he left “walking alongside a trainer.”
Nothing definitive has been diagnosed yet in regards to Carpenter’s knee, and the fact that he was able to walk himself off the field implies only a minor injury.
It will be something to watch though, as Carpenter’s immense strength and athleticism when healthy could help bring Seattle’s offensive line up to an elite status.
