New England Patriots tight end Jake Ballard is getting closer to being 100 percent healthy after undergoing knee surgery about 16 months ago. He’s been participating in OTA’s this week on a limited basis while he continues to follow the advice of the doctors.
“I’m doing my best I can to be 100 percent, and I’m doing as much as I can, as much as they’re allowing me to do out here,” Ballard said, per ESPNBoston.com. “When I’m out here I feel like I’m putting in good work and getting better.”
Ballard is a solid tight end that can block as well as catch the ball well coming off the line of scrimmage. With Rob Gronkowski’s health issues, Ballard should be a nice addition to the Pats’ offense as long as he can stay healthy.
