Jahvid Best will likely begin the season on the PUP list

According to Chris McCosky of The Detroit News, Lions running back Jahvid Best will likely begin the regular season on the PUP list.
“Though no final decision has been made, the Lions seem to be moving closer to keeping running back Jahvid Best on the physically unable to perform list to start the regular season,” wrote McCosky.
“Particularly with concussions, time is always beneficial,” Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said. “We have seen that with a lot of guys who have come back. This would buy us time if we had to cross that hurdle.”
Schwartz stated that Best has been working out on his own.
“He’s doing great,” Schwartz said. “He’s working out hard. He’s just not been cleared.”
