Yesterday we mentioned that Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey confirmed that running back Maurice Jones-Drew is in fact not participating in OTA”s because he wants a new contract.
According to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union, there haven’t been any contract discussions between the Jaguars and Jones-Drew’s representatives at the moment.
Don’t forget that OTA’s are voluntary and Jones-Drew hasn’t publicly stated that he’s demanding a new deal. So we’ll just have to wait and see how long he’s willing to stay away from the Jags facility.
