The Jacksonville Jaguars have the 2nd pick in this years draft. According to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com, new general manager Dave Caldwell says he is looking at two possible picks at that spot, although he wouldn’t rule out trading down either, even if he sees it as unlikely.
We would be open to both [staying put or trading down],” he said. “There is a player there at two that we’re going to draft and that’s going to make us better, we feel good about that, and we have a consensus here from our personnel staff and our coaching staff. It would have to be the right situation for us to move back and bypass that player.
The Jaguars are in a good spot right now. If the Chiefs take one of the players they want, then they’ll just chose the other one. Unless someone blows them away with a spectacular package, which would be unlikely, it looks like Dave Caldwell and his new head coach,Gus Bradley, will get the player they want to start off their tenure with the Jaguars.
