Harbaugh plans on sticking with Kaepernick

After Sunday’s tough overtime loss to the Rams, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh made it clear that he plans on sticking with second quarterback Colin Kaepernick as his starter.

“I will let you know if there’s a change,” Harbaugh said, per the Sacramento Bee. “But right now, I feel as if (the starter vs. Miami) it would be the same this week. And I’m proud of Kap – proud of the way he played. He did some things, some really good things, under a lot of heat and duress and handled himself well, gave our team a chance to win.”

There’s no doubt Kaepernick could have played better, but in all honesty I can’t imagine Alex Smith would have played that much better against a good young Rams defense.
