New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was limited in practice on Friday after rolling his ankle. He’s been officially listed as probable for Sunday’s NFC title game against the 49ers. It would be a surprise if he isn’t able to play.
“Rolled it a little bit,” Nicks said. “Same one. Same one I rolled earlier in the season. Same one I always roll.”
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin called it “basketball ankle” and has said that Nicks has been dealing with it for a few years now.
Nicks isn’t concerned at all.
“No, got no reason to be concerned about it. It’s an important game,” he said. “I’ll put it out of my mind and won’t think about it.”
Tight end Jake Ballard had a procedure done on his knee and has been listed as questionable.
Center David Baas missed practice after catching quarterback Eli Manning’s stomach bug.
Justin Tuck (shouler) and Osi Umenyiora (ankle/knee), RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), CB Corey Webster (hamstring) and LB Mark Herzlich (ankle) were all limited and listed a probable for Sunday.
