The New York Giants have announced that wide receiver Hakeem Nicks fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and will undergo surgery. He’ll be out for the next 12 weeks, which means he should be back by mid-August.
It looks like the Giants are picking up right where they left off last season, with a lot of injuries. They should be fine since Nicks will likely be back before the preseason is over.
Nick’ absence will give players like Ramses Barden and Jerrell Jernigan a shot at proving themselves.
