New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was limited in practice on Thursday and stated that he’ll be the one in the end to decide whether or not he plays during this Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Giants.
“It’s my body and I know how I feel the best,” Gronkowski said. “I just communicate with the trainers on how I feel, what they think, and we just put all our knowledge together so we can get the best possible situation.”
“I will make the final call. I listen to the trainer’s advice, but it’s how I feel,” he said. “I’m just trying to get better. The trainer has helped me to get to a place where I need to be.”
Today was the first day that Gronkowski has practiced since injuring his ankle during the AFC Championship game. If he does play, no one knows what kind of shape he’ll be in, since he’s been sitting out for over a week and is likely not doing much in practice in terms of running.
