Stephen Cohen of SeattlePI.com believes Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate still looks like he’s ready for a break season in 2013.
Cohen believes that without Percy Harvin, Seattle will be fine. And I happen to agree with him.
Even without Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin, the Hawks’ receivers stood out. Kearse caught his second touchdown pass of the preseason, as did Williams. And Tate continued to look like he’s primed for a breakout season.
With Rice in the mix — and maybe Harvin eventually — this group can be dependable and dynamic. Of note: Fourth-round pick Chris Harper has been largely absent, which doesn’t bode well for his chances of making the 53-man roster.
The Seahawks have a lot of players that have flown under the radar and along with Tate they will step up. As inconsistent as Tate’s been, people need to remember that receivers take a few years to develop.
