I know many people believe that the Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate should be fined for lighting up Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee during yesterday’s game. But I’ll break down why the hit is clean in my opinion.
- Lee was not a defenseless player. Tate hit him straight on and not on the side.
- Lee failed to guard himself and keep his head on a swivel.
- Tate didn’t lead with his helmet. He hit Lee with his shoulder and arms.
If Tate ends up getting fined by the NFL then I’m clearly wrong. We’ll see what happens.
