Not only were the New York Giants impressed with rookie Damontre Moore’s punt block, but they loved the way he got after the quarterback during Saturday night’s win over the Steelers.
“Moore obviously was a problem for Pittsburgh from a pass rushing standpoint,” Tom Coughlin said, via the New York Daily News. “He keeps coming. And he likes it.”
Moore was upset because of the plays he didn’t make.
“I mean, honestly, I can’t help but get a little upset personally,” he said. “But at the same time if I put my teammates in a great situation to make a play, as long as I do my job and put the team in a good situation and somebody made the play, at the end of the day I’m happy. If one of us shines, we all shine. If one of us looks good, we all look good.”
With Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul banged up and Osi Umenyiora now in Atlanta, Moore has a chance to make an immediate impact as a rookie.
