According to Conor Orr of the Newark Star-Ledger, Giants defensive end Justin Tuck was seen lining up at linebacker at times during practice.
As a defensive end, he is most commonly seen with his hand in the grass, a typical three-point stance. But during that practice, he was lining up as a roaming, stand-up rush end.
In the past two seasons, Tuck has played a handful of snaps from the stand-up position, including his first sack in Super Bowl XLVI. But he described his recent role in practice as a bit of a departure.
Tuck says they’re “toying” with different looks.
“We’re toying around with a lot of things, and that’s one of them,” Tuck said. “I’m always open for new things, any time you get an opportunity to showcase your versatility.”
