It was reported earlier this offseason that the New York Giants don’t look at Victor Cruz as more than a slot receiver. This would lead us to believe they’re not willing to pay him more than $6 million per season, since that’s the go rating for a slot receiver after seeing what Wes Welker got this offseason from the Broncos.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Giants do see Cruz as more than a slot receiver.
On #Giants/Victor Cruz: I'm told next few days are extremely important. But Giants do view him as more than a slot WR, value-wise.

The last offer that the Giants reportedly made to Cruz was for $8 million a year. We’re not sure where both sides are at right now, but we reported earlier that both sides seem to be getting close to striking a deal.
