Now that wide receiver Ramses Barden has officially broken out as an NFL wide receiver, the New York Giants are looking for him to build on Thursday night’s masterful performance and show everone why he was drafted in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
“The Giants have been waiting for WR Ramses Barden to step up in a real live game for three years. Thursday he showed what he can do with nine receptions (the same number he had all last season) in a key role with Hakeem Nicks out. But the Giants have been teased by Barden’s ability before. They still want to see him separate consistently from press coverage and run cleaner routes, but this was a clutch performance the team needed badly,” wrote ProFootballWeekly.com.
As of right now, Barden will likely go into next Sunday night’s game against the Eagles as the Giants third wide receiver as long as Hakeem Nicks is back in the line up.
