Giants holding out Kenny Phillips until after their bye

New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin told the media that they plan on resting safety Kenny Phillips this week and hope that he’ll be ready to go after their week 11 bye.

Phillips injured his knee back in week 4 against the Eagles.  There was some hope he would play during last week’s game against the Steelers, but he was ruled out at the last-minute.

Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks will be held out of practice today after experiencing some swelling in his knee.
