Giants’ David Baas undergoes elbow surgery

According to the New York Daily News, Giants’ center David Baas underwent elbow surgery earlier this week.

The 31-year-old center underwent surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow earlier this week, the Daily News has learned. According to a source familiar with Baas’ situation, the procedure likely means he’ll be relegating to rehabbing throughout the Giants’ offseason program, and will probably be a bystander at the team’s veteran mini-camp in June, too.

The good news is that Baas is expected to be ready for training camp.

But despite what one team source said was the “multiple” surgeries Baas has endured since the end of the 2012 season, he is expected to be ready to be a full participant when training camp opens in late July.

Baas has been a nice addition for the Giants over the past couple of years.  I wonder how much more football he has in him with all of the injuries he’s had.
